Sergio Mora on the cover of Ring Magazine

On May 24, 2005, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora decisively conquered Peter Manfredo Jr. in a seven round all out battle (see photo to the left). It was a unanimous decision for the "Latin Snake" and Sergio Mora is now the Contender champion and winner of $1,000,000 dollars!

On October 15, 2005, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, Sergio defended his title in a rematch with Manfredo, Jr., winning by split decision. In the first round, Sergio received a headbutt and fought the eight-round war with a serious cut (see photo to the right). "The Latin Snake" remains undefeated and still holds the Contender Championship belt!
